Here’s just a sample of stories Jim brought up for listener attention:

--Senators Dick Durbin of Illinois and Tom Harkin of Iowa tried to being The U.N.
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Treaty to the Senate floor
for a vote under a unanimous consent agreement. Had Senator Mike Lee of Utah
not been on the floor to object, the efforts of Durbin and Harkin might have succeeded.
This treaty is antithetical to the idea of parental rights and is pro-abortion. See the

legislation.
--The 225th birthday for the U.S. Constitution was celebrated on September 17th.
--The Obama administration is running apology ads in Pakistan denouncing an anti-Islam
film about the prophet Mohammed.
--In order to appease Muslims and the White House, a military general and the
Department of Defense punished a lieutenant for teaching about the dangers of radical
Islam.
--As a goodwill gesture, the Obama administration is weighing the possibility of
releasing Omar Abdul Rahman, the blind sheikh who was the spiritual advisor to the
1993 World Trade Center bombers.
--Tensions between Israel and the U.S. on the rise because President Obama refuses to
meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yet can seem to find time to
meet Muslim Brotherhood member, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi.
--5 point drop seen in Obama foreign policy approval rating.
--China military leader orders military forces to prepare for combat as warships prepare
for deployment to waters near disputed islands.
--Iranian pastor Yousef Nadarkhani expresses thanks to his supporters for his release.
--President Obama under fire for campaign poster showing his campaign logo in place of
stars on the American flag.
--Some major network TV shows set to present Obamacare propaganda.
--EPA has mandated that all consumers must purchase at least 4 gallons of gas at pumps
that offer E-15 fuel.
--Efforts to keep President Obama’s name off the election ballot in Kansas were halted
when a state board ended its probe over Obama’s state of birth.
--Former Marine’s views on marriage costs him his job.
--Judge Vaughn Walker who nullified Proposition 8 in California, believes the role of the
judge sometimes involves moving the “strike zone” in order to champion certain social
issues like same-sex marriage.
--Senior military officials have allowed personnel in favor of repeal of “Don’t ask, don’t
tell” to speak to the media while those who have concerns have been ordered to be
silent.
