Host: Jim Schneider
Guest: Mark Crutcher
Mark Crutcher is the President of Life Dynamics. Life Dynamics is an anti-abortion, pro-life organization that is working to end legal abortion and return the right to life to unborn babies from the moment of conception. Their motto is: 'Pro-life: without compromise, without exception, without apology'. Since 1986 Mark has committed himself to working in the pro-life movement full time as an outspoken and uncompromised opponent of legalized abortion.
One week ago today the U.S. Supreme Court gave their decision in the Hobby Lobby case. In the hours and days that have followed, pro-abortion groups have become quite vocal in their opposition to the decision.
The problem with those who oppose the ruling is that their disgust is based upon a lie. The lie that is being communicated is that Hobby Lobby is now allowed to ban all forms of birth control for their employees.
As Mark noted, of the 20 forms of birth control, Hobby Lobby already pays for 16. Hobby Lobby was only contesting the forms of birth control that operate after fertilization. The reason the pro-abortion lobby can get away with not telling the whole truth on this issue is because the secular media, who is on their side, will not call them out on it.
Mark also pointed out that this was not an issue of denying anyone anything. It was simply an issue of who was going to pay for the birth control methods in question.
Mark also looked at:
--States hospital admitting privileges and why these are being fought by the same
pro-choice movement that claims to want abortions to be safe, legal and rare.
--the lack of young abortion doctors to take over practices of retiring
...and many great questions and comments from Crosstalk listeners.
