Cheryl Chumley is an award-winning veteran journalist with the Washington Times and also writes about politics and government for various newspapers and Internet news sites. She is noted for her aggressive use of Freedom of Information Act laws to hold officials accountable. She was a year long Robert Novak journalism fellow where she spent extensive time researching and writing about private property rights. She is the author of the newly released, ‘Police State U.S.A.: How Orwell’s Nightmare is Becoming our Reality’.

Cheryl noted that the phrase, ‘police state’ is a reference to the state that we’re living in within America today where the government infiltrates, encroaches and intrudes on nearly every aspect of our lives.

Her book documents case after case where readers can see how the government is taking over our God-given rights and civil liberties. For example, a man in Henderson, Nevada, was called by police who wanted to use his home as a surveillance point to track a nearby domestic violence situation. After refusing, 5 men showed up demanding entry. After refusing a second time they broke his door down, pepper sprayed him, shot his dog, ordered him around and ultimately arrested him for obstruction.

–How store mannequins are being used to gather information.
–Why is the government involved in domestic militarization?
–The EPA’s involvement in the ‘police state’ movement.
–How political correctness is killing us.

…and much more.
