Air Date: November 10, 2011
Host: Vic Eliason
Vic opened this edition of Crosstalk with the latest news regarding S.598, The Respect for Marriage Act, an act that would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The Senate Judiciary Committee has passed S.598 but now it must pass the full Senate.
Beginning today, November 10th, the Girls Scouts is holding its 52nd Annual Convention in Houston. It’s the kickoff to the 100-year anniversary on March 12, 2012, and everyone who has ever been a member has been invited to join the celebration. However, some are not very enthusiastic as this anniversary approaches because of left-wing ideas that have crept in to the organization including the acceptance of lesbianism, the general lack of moral absolutes and the policy whereby the recognition of God is now “optional”.
Vic presents a number of questions that expose some of the specific changes in the organization and provides information that you can use to make your voice heard on this topic.
