Dr. Paul Tautges has served Immanuel Bible Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, as pastor-teacher since 1992. He is a seminary professor and is the author of Counsel One Another: A Theology of Personal Discipleship, Comfort Those Who Grieve: Ministering God’s Grace in Times of Loss, Counsel Your Flock and Delight in the Word: Biblical Counsel for Everyday Issues. Pastor Tautges is also a biblical counselor certified with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and the IABC, the International Association of Biblical Counselors.

Today, churches are increasingly placing their confidence in Christian psychology as the answer to their need for the ministry of counseling.

Pastor Tautges believes that counseling is not primarily the work of the professional. It is a crucial way for the believer in Christ to demonstrate biblical love toward one another within a gospel-centered, truth-driven, and grace-dispensing church environment.

Pastor Tautges uses that basis as he presents answers to numerous questions including the following:

–Do biblical counselors recognize organic/physical reasons for mental/emotional problems?
–How should we deal with depression, bitterness and jealousy from a biblical perspective?
–What about forgiveness and reconciliation?

NOTE: This program first aired July 8, 2011.
