During a Senate hearing on January 23, 2013, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin had an exchange with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Clinton made it clear that while she didn’t want to see another ‘Benghazi’ happen in the future, what she seemed to be dodging was her opportunity to be completely transparent about what caused the incident so that specific individuals could be held responsible.
Now it’s being alleged that there’s e-mail evidence from White House Deputy Strategic Communications Advisor Ben Rhodes indicating that the idea that an Internet video sparked the Benghazi attack is false and that the White House knew it.
What could Clinton and those currently within the Obama administration be hiding? For example, why was Mehdi K. Alhassani, the President of a Muslim Brotherhood front group from 2005-2006 at George Washington University, on the distribution list for the talking points e-mail? Keep in mind that his chapter of the Muslim Students Association had two other infamous members. One was Huma Abedin, a close advisor to Hillary Clinton and Anwar Al-Awlaki who was the inspiration for the Fort Hood jihadist.
There has been a select committee put together by Speaker John Boehner that will attempt to get to the bottom of this and you can keep up with the details when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
