Craig Froman is a curriculum writer as well as assistant editor at New Leaf Publishing Group.  He has both a bachelor of arts in business administration and a master’s degree in education. He’s the author or editor of several books including: ‘Children’s Atlas of God’s World’, ‘How Many Animals Were on the Ark?’, and ‘Passport to the World.’

Jim began by pointing out Psalm 104 which tells us about the majesty and the  providence of God, His wonderful creation, and how He provides for that creation.  So despite the massive push to get our kids to believe in evolution, it’s portions of Scripture like Psalm 104, and creation itself, that shows how every design demands a designer, and that designer is God.

How you ever wondered how geese, storks and other birds know where to fly and where to return many months later?  Since insects can walk upside down, do they have ‘glue’ on their feet? How is it that woodpeckers don’t get a headache after pecking again and again?  Who taught termites to build their nests facing the sun? Why don’t vultures get a stomach ache after eating carrion? How can an octopus change colors?

Answers to these and many other questions can be obtained through the newly released book, ‘God’s Big Book of Animals.’

This edition of Crosstalk was a great introduction to this book with discussion involving hummingbirds, woodpeckers and pelicans, to crawling and flying insects, reptiles, camels, sea animals and much more.  What’s most important is the honor and glory the book brings to God through the textual references referring to God as creator of these wonderfully designed creatures.

Whether it’s purchased as a gift for someone else or perhaps you want it for the coffee table or family library; from children to adults, there’s something for all ages to enjoy in this fun and informative book.
