Lately it seems that when we turn on the news, it appears as though things are going from bad to worse. This can make us feel overwhelmed and to be consumed by fear, doubt, anxiety and even despair.
In response, Jim presented this edition of Crosstalk that offered two options of encouragement. First, he shared some thoughts from Dr. Neal Jackson, pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett, North Carolina. Dr. Jackson wrote a piece that communicates six ways to make the best of a horrible pandemic:
–Bless the Lord.
–Bless your spouse.
–Bless your kids.
–Bless your neighbors.
–Bless your servants (mail carriers, mechanics, doctors, etc.)
Jim then had listeners call in and share a scripture verse of encouragement and/or a testimony explaining how God has been at work in their lives during troubling times.
