Some Crosstalk listeners may be familiar with an old phrase that goes like this: ‘What in the World?’  It’s a phrase that someone might say after seeing or hearing something that’s surprising, angering or disgusting.

Jim named this program after that phrase because of some recent news examples that simply defy common sense or perhaps better described as common moral sense.

Here’s a sample of what Jim covered:

–In California the state government has mandated the shutdown of churches while at the same encouraging masked gatherings of protesters.  The governor justifies his stance because he believes churches are not essential.  Jim gave two examples of churches affected.  One was Harvest Rock Church and the other was John MacArthur’s Grace Community Church.

–On Friday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that Americans should not expect to return to pre-COVID-19 normalcy until potentially late next year.

–Burger King has launched a new advertising campaign in Finland that features a kiss between its king mascot and Ronald McDonald.

–Senate Bill 145, passed by the California legislature, exempts from mandatory registration a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is only one requiring the person to register.

–Merriam Webster’s Dictionary is officially updating its definition of ‘female’ to now include, ‘having a gender identity that is opposite of male.’

Jim had much more to share, with listeners bringing their input to the program as well.
