Today Jim took a break from the many issues going on in the world to speak with us about the most important issue of all.
In Mark 8:36 we find a very critical question that everyone must answer, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” In other words, you might win big in politics, financial gains, a legislative battle, the stock market, or a big work promotion; but, if you’ve never placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Savior, it is all meaningless. Sadly, many people spend more time planning their next vacation getaway than they do considering their eternal destination.
According to Pastor David Brown, you are playing “Russian Roulette” with your soul if any of these describe you:
- Believing infant baptism will get you to Heaven
- Believing that there are many roads to Heaven
- Believing religious service and good works will get you to Heaven
- Believing in God will get you to Heaven
- Making a phony decision for Christ to fulfil an earthly goal
- Following false teachers and faulty philosophies
- Procrastination – putting off the decision for Christ until later
One cannot fool God when they ultimately stand before Him. Pastor Brown explains clearly how you can KNOW for sure that your eternal destination is Heaven.
