This Friday, April 20, has been designated by the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) as a “Day of Silence” in many schools across the nation to protest what they perceive as discrimination against—and hatred toward homosexual students. The idea is for those supporting homosexuals to remain silent throughout the day. In some schools, even teachers have refused to speak on that day.

But even the liberal American Civil Liberties Union has stated that students “do NOT have a right to remain silent during class time if a teacher asks you to speak.”

Some schools have not only accommodated the “day of silence”, but have also encouraged it by allowing posters and other displays that promote homosexuality. In response, students who do not agree with the homosexual agenda are encouraged to walk out and not be in attendance that day, which will deprive the school of funds paid based on attendance figures.

Meanwhile, the Obama White House effectively “shouts from the housetops” their support for the homosexual agenda. They are holding conferences with homosexual groups in Atlanta April 19, and in Minneapolis April 28. Even other activities, such as the Easter Egg roll on the White House lawn, are used to spotlight homosexual “families’ participating, with no mention of traditional heterosexual families.

Funds spent by the Centers for Disease Control and other agencies researching the HIV epidemic, which is largely a result of homosexual activities, have totaled over $225,000 per HIV-related death, in contrast with $2,429 spent per death on research related to heart disease and stroke.

The promotion includes sponsoring a “Champions of Change Video Challenge” as part of the coming “Gay Pride Month”. On issue after issue, the Obama administration has supported pro-homosexual legislation, including the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the military, signing the Hate Crimes act, and refusal to enforce the “Defense of Marriage Act” while working to repeal it.

Many court decisions have chipped away at traditional marriage by ruling that laws that do not give equal benefits to non-traditional unions are “discriminatory”.
