Many Crosstalk listeners are well aware of the Chick-fil-A controversy and the emotions it stirred as the company expressed their beliefs regarding traditional marriage.

Then there was the shooting of a security guard at the Family Research Council by a man who told the operations manager that he objected to their politics.

What is it that is causing so much hatred toward religious individuals and the idea of religious liberty by the radical left? Even the Southern Poverty Law Center certified F.R.C. as a hate group, a certification that Ken believes is related to the shooting at the F.R.C.

A number of factors contribute to this problem. One of them is the 16 trillion dollar American debt problem. Ken described this robbing from our children and great grandchildren as a moral crisis which can only lead to people who become more and more dependent upon government. It’s basically the welfare state being financed by debt while undermining American exceptionalism.

As Ken noted, we don’t need the fundamental transformation that President Obama promised just before he was elected. Instead, we need the restoration of those principles and practices that have made America an exceptional nation.

As Chick-fil-A discovered, to stand for these principles will bring about opposition. How far does Ken feel this kind of hatred and intolerance toward Christians will go? He feels it will go as far as it can without meeting a wall of resistance. Learn what you can do to help stem the tide when you listen to this edition of Crosstalk.
