Martin Mawyer began his career as a free lance journalist. In 1990 he founded the Christian Action Network, a non-profit organization created to protect America’s religious and moral heritage through educational and political activism efforts. He has authored several documentary films including “Homegrown Jihad” and he has authored several books including, “Twilight in America: The Untold Story of Islamic Terrorist Training Camps Inside America”.

Martin describes how there are areas in Dearborn, Michigan, and Hancock, New York, that are literal enclaves of Islamic life where non-Muslims can be in danger of harm. These areas/compounds have their own Islamic legal system and mimic the enclaves that exist in areas of Western Europe.

On a larger and more ominous scale, what about Islamic terrorist training camps? Typically when you hear of such activity you may think of locations such as Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq or Iran. How about right here on American soil?

Martin also details how back around 2006, the Christian Action Network was at work attempting to educate their supporters concerning the goals of radical Islam. During this process a former F.B.I. agent approached Martin and told him to be careful about what they put out because there was an Islamic terrorist training camp about 30 miles from the offices of Christian Action Network. In his research, Martin learned that this particular camp was not an isolated case. It’s run by a Pakistani cleric named Sheikh Mubarik Ali Gilani who Martin says has nearly 3 dozen such camps scattered throughout the United States.

What are the originators of these camps up to? What has been the response by law enforcement officials from Washington on down to the state and local levels? Find out the surprising answers when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
