Show Information

Air Date: January 22 2014

Host: Jim Schneider

Listen: MP3 | Order

This broadcast was the annual ‘look back’ at the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973 that legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy.
The result? On this 41st anniversary, Jim noted that according to the site www.numberofabortions.com more than 57 million abortions have now been conducted. That’s close to 157 abortions each hour.

During this broadcast, a bell tolls approximately every 14 seconds. Each toll represents 250,000 abortions that have taken place since the Roe v. Wade decision was handed down.

Here’s a sample of the many abortion related points that Jim brought to the attention of listeners:

–Abortion takes away sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, all lost to a world that values choice over compassion.

–This is a day to mourn the damage abortion does to women: the medical and mental health problems, the damaging of relationships with friends and family and the destruction of relationships with God.

–Since 1973 17.1 million African-American babies have been aborted.

–From the books of Genesis to Job to Psalms to Jeremiah, the Bible leaves no doubt about the value of human life according to God.

–More pro-life laws have passed in various states over the last 3 years than during the entire previous decade.

–Operation Rescue has documented a record number of abortion clinic closures in 2013.

–Unfortunately some see this as a day of celebration. ‘Rock ‘N’ Roe 2014′ is a concert being held tonight to benefit Planned Parenthood of greater Orlando, Florida.

This broadcast also featured audio clips from members of the U.S. House of Representatives including Chris Smith of New Jersey, Virginia Foxx of North Carolina, Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota, Tim Huelskamp of Kansas, Dan Benishek of Michigan and Anne Wagner of Missouri.
