Many parents assume when they drop off their children at school that their youngsters are being prepared for college or a career or just for life in general.
Sadly, in many cases, children are being indoctrinated in a worldview that is in contrast to the one parents are attempting to communicate at home. The guest on this Crosstalk co-wrote a book that reveals how the architects of America’s public schools have implemented a plan to socialize the U.S. by knowingly and willingly dumbing-down the population.

Joining Jim for this discusses was Alex Newman. Alex is an international journalist, educator and consultant. He has a degree in journalism from the University of Florida and has worked for numerous publications. He is the co-author of the book ‘Crimes of the Educators’. It’s subtitle is, ‘How Utopians Are Using Government schools to Destroy America’s Children’. The book is co-authored with Dr. Samuel Blumenfeld.

Many listeners are aware of the term ‘utopians’ as it pertains to individuals who believe we must use the coercive power of government to reform humanity. Alex talked about one particular utopian (‘progressives’ as they are often known today)
named John Dewey. Dewey is considered to be the founding father or ‘godfather’ of progressive education. In spite of the fact that so many public schools are named after him, his specific goal was to overturn the foundations of the U.S. as we know it (religious liberty, private property and Christianity as the bedrock of society) and move us toward a communist society.

Dewey felt that in order to transform America, you have to reduce the literacy of the American people. He received money from the Rockefeller Education Foundation to do the experiments and to gradually take over the teaching colleges, the publishing of books and eventually take over the government schools. Dewey’s plan was so effective that half of America’s adults are functionally illiterate.

What are some of the accusations and crimes Alex lists against education? Alex discusses treason, child abuse (as seen via learn-to-read methods other than phonics and the pushing of psychiatric drugs on them) contributing to the delinquency of minors (sex education and anti-drug programs that actually encourage such behavior), the spiritual crime of destroying a child’s belief in biblical religion and extortion (the paying of taxes with the promise that schools are actually educating your children).
