It’s National Day of Prayer

Last year I was in Pennsylvania and saw Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, iconic American symbols of freedom. I’m thankful for the freedoms we enjoy in the USA, but these symbols are also a reminder that the freedoms enshrined in our Constitution are quickly disappearing, especially for Christians. So, what should we do?

Well, today is the National Day of Prayer—a day when many Americans stop and spend time praying for our nation. And, ultimately, that’s the best thing we can do—pray and ask the Lord to preserve our freedom, and if he does not, that he’d give us the courage and boldness to continue to speak his truth and point people to the gospel.
