A Customized Worldview

Yesterday we learned that very few Americans have a biblical worldview. So, what do the rest of Americans believe?

Well, a recent study found that most Americans blend ideas from a variety of belief systems to create a “customized worldview.”

In other words, the dominant worldview in America today is “syncretism.” It’s a little of this and a little of that, blended into a worldview that’s custom-made by each person. With such a worldview there’s no ultimate authority—“truth” is determined by whatever seems right to each person.

This explains the moral relativism permeating the West. Without the ultimate authority of God’s Word, anything goes.
