Avi Lipkin is an Israeli citizen. He was born in the United States, but immigrated to Israel in 1968. He is a former member of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and a former translator inside the Israeli Prime Minister’s
office, giving him a rare insight on Middle East affairs. He is the co-founder of the “Israel Today” magazine. Avi has written several books under the pen name Victor Mordecai, including “Is Fanatic Islam a Global Threat?”
Vic began with news out of an island near Madagascar that falls under the sovereignty of Australia. The population of this island is nearly 100% Muslim. 80% of them are on welfare paid by Australian taxpayers. The person in charge of approving the welfare payments is the local Islamic Imam.
Avi noted that there’s a strong interdependence between the United States government and the Islamic and Arab world and that we have to look at the U.S./Israeli relationship through that lens. Israel is a strong ally for the U.S. with Israel acting like a land-based aircraft carrier for the U.S. in the region.
With that idea established, Vic segues into the topic of the various czars that President Obama has put into place, specifically Samantha Powers who in 2002 gave a three-fold answer to the question of how to deal with the current events in Israel. Her answer involved alienation of the American/Jewish community and Christians who support Israel, pour billions of taxpayer money into the new state of Palestine and finally, stage an American ground invasion of Israel and the Palestinian territories.
Avi then notes how the world is demanding military intervention against the current Syrian regime. If that happens, this will be the precedent needed to do the same thing to Israel, perhaps involving a U.S. military invasion should the Israeli military attempt a crushing response to a Palestinian revolt.
Why is the State Department supporting the Muslim Brotherhood? Is there reason to believe that President Obama is a Saudi (Sunni) “plant” whose goal is to destroy the Shiite threat in Iran, to destroy Israel and turn America into a Muslim nation? Will President Obama attempt to overthrow the Iranian regime before the next presidential election and use the resulting popularity to propel himself into a second term of office? Will President Obama eventually resettle millions of Muslims coming to America from Egypt? These questions and more are addressed on this critical edition of Crosstalk.
