Last Thursday, with the aid of 3 Republicans, a Senate committee passed the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities treaty, moving it one step closer to making it the law of the land.
As reported two weeks ago on Crosstalk, the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities treaty would set up a committee of judges and U.N. experts to monitor U.S. compliance to global standards allegedly set up to protect the best interests of the disabled, including children.
Jim noted on today’s program that this treaty would also allow for greater abortion access in Article 25. In short, this treaty would force Americans to sanction sterilization or abortion for the disabled at taxpayer expense. The treaty could be ratified as early as this week.
