Twila Brase is President of the Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom and is an R.N. She provides commentary for the Health Freedom Minute, provides testimony at the state legislature, meets with members of Congress, and speaks around the country.
Obamacare is being implemented in stages and plans call for further implementation under the guise of state healthcare insurance exchanges. The proponents of these exchanges are describing them as a one-stop place to buy health insurance (online for example).
Twila noted that the exchanges would be imposed by the federal government under Obamacare with a host of “behind the scenes” regulations. What’s most troubling about this exchange system is the fact that there would be information about everyone shared with the federal government through a federal data services hub. Your information would be shared with the IRS, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice and the Social Security Administration.
Patient privacy issues, mandates and mandate exemptions, states rights, employer fines…this topic is complicated but Jim and Twila sort out the details when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
