Air Date: August 29, 2012
Host: Vic Eliason
Guest: Jacquie Sullivan
Vic opened this Crosstalk with news that Sunday night at 8pm Central Time, Fox News Channel will allegedly be having a very important program. No other program details have been given.
In another story, Vic noted that in the years since D-Day took place in1945, there have been only 3 occasions when an American president failed to go to the D-Day monument that honors the soldiers killed in that invasion. President Obama is the man in question and he failed to visit the memorial in 2010, 2011 and this year as well.
Jacquie Sullivan is a City Councilwoman in Bakersfield, California, and founder of “In God We Trust – America”.
Years ago, while listening to the local Christian radio station, Jacquie heard about a small group out East that was protesting the appearance of the slogan “In God We Trust” on a public building. After hearing this she thought she’d work to do the opposite and have this motto instituted in cities and counties around America.
Jacquie has been working on this project since 2002. 2 years later, “In God We Trust-America” incorporated. Their mission statement says—“Our mission: To promote patriotism by encouraging elected officials to vote ‘yes’ to legally display our congressionally approved national motto, ‘In God We Trust’ in every city, county and state chamber in America.”
The total number of municipalities in America that have voted to do this so far is near 300.
This proves that one person can make a difference. Could you be that person in your area? Find out how you can get the national motto instituted in your city or county when you review this exciting edition of Crosstalk.
