Host: Jim Schneider
Guest: Dr. E. Calvin Beisner
Dr. E. Calvin Beisner is the spokesman for the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation and is also an author and speaker on the application of the Biblcal Worldview to economics, government, and environmental policy. He has published over 10 books and hundreds of articles as well as contributed to numerous other writings.
Jim noted that the President has said that the 12 warmest years in recorded history have all come in the last 15 years and that last year was the warmest in American history. The President also stated that in a world that’s getting warmer, all weather events are affected by it resulting in higher food costs, insurance premiums and the tab for rebuilding.
A number of things are wrong with the President’s assessment. According to Dr. Beisner, global warming has ceased for anywhere from 16 to as much as the last 23 years. Incredibly, that information comes from websites that climate alarmists normally depend on.
Secondly, there has been no increase in either the frequency or intensity of severe weather events or wildfires associated with any global warming.
Thirdly, according to information from the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the costs of fighting what we’re told is global warming will actually outweigh the costs we’d have from actual global warming.
In spite of this, President Obama plans on pushing the limits of the Executive Branch by laying out a new series of environmental regulations by means of executive order.
