Air Date: August 18, 2015
Host: Jim Schneider
Guest: Peter LaBarbera and Scott Lively
Jim began by noting there is a massive push underway to undermine Christianity and to change the moral fabric of our nation. For example, this morning it was announced that for the first time in American history, the White House has hired a transgender individual (Raffi Freedman-Gurspan) for a staff post.
While this is going on, Christians are being purged from their posts as county clerks, judges and chaplains. Classroom teachers are being instructed to say ‘friends’ or ‘students’ rather than ‘girls’ or ‘boys.’ The Boy scouts have capitulated to now allow for openly homosexual scoutmasters. Courts are telling Christian bakers they cannot refuse to bake a wedding cake for so-called same-sex weddings. Even some churches are bowing to the tide of the times by ordaining homosexuals and transgenders.
Where is this headed and what are the ramifications? Jim sought answers from two guests. One was Peter LaBarbera. Peter is the founder and president of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality.
The second guest was Scott Lively. Scott is the president of Abiding Truth Ministries. He is a pastor, attorney, author, public speaker and pro-family defender. He is also the author of ‘Pink Swastika.’
Scott sees the slippery slope leading to the recent Supreme Court same-sex marriage decision as going back to the start of cultural Marxism with Herbert Marcuse and the Frankfort School. He was the teacher of Saul Alinsky and laid out the radical agenda that gays have adopted as their own from the time of the Stonewall riots of 1969.
Scott believes what we’re seeing today is the end of a very long march through the institutions where our opponents are ‘mopping up.’ Christians, on the other hand, are entering a new phase where we will be increasingly persecuted and punished.
Peter added to Scott’s comments by noting that homosexuals are now attacking what they view as religious-based discrimination which they also see as unacceptable. This has placed religious freedom in a cultural battle with homosexual so-called ‘rights’ and the more ‘rights’ given by the government to homosexuals, the more gay power grows.
As this Crosstalk moves along you’ll learn about:
–Scott’s lawsuit involving an LGBT advocacy group in East Africa that is trying to charge him with crimes against humanity.
–A case where conversion therapy was deemed to be ‘consumer fraud.’
–The guest’s thoughts on the Raffi Freedman-Gurspan hiring.
–The 5-stage process that Scott believes the homosexual movement uses: tolerance, acceptance, celebration, forced participation in the culture and finally punishment of all dissenters.
–The Equality Act(Senate Bill 1858 & House Resolution-3185)that seeks to expand the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include sexual orientation in public education, public facilities, accommodations, employment, etc.
…and much more.
