Here’s a sample of news stories that were part of this latest edition of the ‘Round-Up.’  Listeners brought their views to the broadcast as well.

–Dr. Anthony Fauci told a gathering of students and experts at Georgetown University Medical Center in January of 2017 that the incoming Trump administration would face a surprise outbreak of a new disease and the United States needed to prepare for it.

–According to the director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention there’s financial incentive for hospitals to inflate their counts of deaths due to COVID-19. 

–Nationwide distribution of any coronavirus vaccine will be a joint venture   between the CDC and the Department of Defense.

–Over the past 2 decades, Bill Gates has invested 10 billion dollars into vaccines.  He wasn’t doing it because he loves people but because of the great return on his money—a 20 to 1 return.

–New York City opened new traveler checkpoints Thursday to register visitors and residents returning from nearly 3 dozen states who are required to quarantine for 14 days.

–New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been visiting New Yorkers who fled the state during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic begging them to return to the state from Connecticut and other second-home locations after admitting the 1% pay a shocking 50% of state taxes.

–Facebook has deleted a post by President Donald Trump for the first time saying it violated its policy against spreading misinformation about the coronavirus.

–A middle age couple is under fire after they berated a group of teens and punched one of the boys.  What was he doing?  He wasn’t wearing a mask in Walmart. 

–News that an Arizona State University professor died last Friday of COVID-19 after the university forced her to teach a seminar during the pandemic caused fierce backlash from academics and journalists.  However, the professor and her death were completely made up.

–The city of Los Angeles, through a cease and desist letter, has threatened Grace Community Church and Pastor John MacArthur with a daily fine of $1,000 or arrest after they decided to defy orders not to hold indoor worship services and not to sing.

–House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on PBS News Hour to discuss the ongoing negotiations over a new COVID-19 relief bill and said that she and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are ‘master legislators.’

–Joe Lockhart at CNN confirmed that Democrats are frightened by the prospect of Joe Biden mixing it up nationally in televised presidential debates with President Trump.

–President Trump’s reelection campaign is seeking to add a debate with Joe Biden in early September.  

–Joe Biden’s campaign is attempting to woo Christian voters with talk about caring for the least of these and fighting systemic racism. 

–Joe Biden obtains the endorsement of the leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA.

–House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn believes President Trump is Mussolini and that Putin is Hitler.

–Vice President Mike Pence portrayed a stark contrast facing America during a visit Wednesday to the swing state of Florida.

–The Chinese Communist Party appears to be operating a complex network hidden in plain site through its U.S. embassies and consulates and through their connections to our universities.

–Christian congregations in China have been told they must meet strict guidelines in order to be allowed to stay open for in-person worship services once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

–China Aid is reporting that authorities sentenced a Christian to 10 days in administrative detention for illegal evangelism.
