It seems that we wake each day to a world engulfed in chaos and confusion.  We live in a society mired in godlessness and humanism with families struggling to guide their children in faith.  Have you felt that challenge?

In response, this Crosstalk brought a message of hope, reminding listeners that God has given us the answer.  It’s His Holy Word as recorded for us beginning in the book of Genesis.

Returning to Crosstalk to help families maneuver through critical issues and giving foundation to your faith was Ken Ham.  Ken is president, CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis-U.S., the highly acclaimed Creation Museum, and the world-renowned Ark Encounter.  Ken is one of the most in-demand Christian speakers in North America and is author of numerous works including his latest book, Creation to Babel: A Commentary for Families.

As Ken noted, Genesis 1-11 is the foundation of everything.  Unfortunately, most of our churches and church leaders have given up on that foundation, teaching that faith doesn’t matter, they’re compromising with evolution, etc.

So people often have questions about Genesis, the meaning of certain words, the days of creation and much more.  The problem is that if you pick up many commentaries, they can either be very daunting to read or don’t deal with the issues we may want them to address.

In response, Ken wanted to write a commentary on Genesis 1-11 that is conversational and devotional, while at the same time answering all the theological and scientific issues that people have, including the meanings of the words involved.  The result was Creation to Babel: A Commentary for Families

As this program moved along, Ken discussed more details from this new project as he answered the following:

  • When were angels created?
  • Do Genesis 1 and 2 contradict or compliment each other?
  • What is the significance of the Ark’s single door?
  • How much time elapsed from the Flood to the building of the Tower of Babel?

Other questions were answered, including those from listeners around the nation.
