Dr. Jane Orient is the executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, a non-partisan professional association of physicians in all types of practices and specialties across the country who are dedicated to the highest ethical standards of the Oath of Hippocrates and to preserving the sanctity of the patient-physician relationship and the practice of private medicine. Dr. Orient is a medical doctor obtained her undergraduate degrees in chemistry and mathematics from the University of Arizona in Tucson, and her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed an internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and University of Arizona Affiliated Hospitals and then became an Instructor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and a staff physician at the Tucson Veterans Administration Hospital. She has been in solo private practice since 1981. In addition to AAPS, she is managing editor of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness and managing editor of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons.
Jim began by asking, “What exactly is meant by gender affirming care?” Dr. Orient described it this way: “It’s supposed to mean approving of radical, extreme, very harmful treatments given to helpless children who’ve been exploited and manipulated, taken away from their parents, or at least from the previous close relationship they had with their parents, and made to sound like something good. I mean, it’s trying to affirm a lie.”
What’s causing the explosion in the number of people that are seeking such affirmation? Dr. Orient sees it as, “… one of a number of things that are being done to destroy our traditions, our culture, our faith; to create chaos and to make people distressed and confused and susceptible to being ruled by those who consider themselves to be our betters.”
These comments set the stage for this information-packed program that brings answers to questions such as: Do people grow out of this confusion? When is biological sex determined? Is sex fluid like some claim? What is the long-term impact for a child who receives puberty blockers or hormones of the opposite sex?
