Fast Facts: Bees – Part III

Carl Kerby

Welcome to Fast Facts with Reasons for Hope! I’m Carl Kerby and, today, we’re going to be talking about the bee.

Believe it or not, the bee is advancing medicine – big time!

To make its hive stronger, it uses a resin (“propolis” or “beehive glue”) from poplar and evergreen trees.

Scientists discovered that this material actually fights off bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Propolis is now being used to help with cold sores, canker sores, sore throats, cavities, and other issues. Amazing!

The bee is also being considered the “Benjamin Button” of the animal kingdom.

Yes, you heard that right. When an older bee does a job that’s usually reserved for a younger bee, its brain stops aging. In fact, its brain will actually age in reverse!

Scientists at Arizona State University think that this discovery can be used to help humans with certain brain diseases, such as dementia.

The fact is, modern medical science is desperate and diligently desiring to learn all the supernatural surprises that our Creator God has built into His amazing creation!

Until next time, stay bold!
