JD: Ken there is a report out from somewhat of a military expert. He says that the Palestinians are a greater threat to the Jewish state of Israel than the Iranians. How would your evaluation of that statement come out?
KT: You know, this is a matter of opinion Jimmy. There have been for decades people who have made this argument that the demographic threat of the Palestinians is greater than any military threat that Israel faces. But the Palestinians are not an existential threat to the state of Israel for one simple reason. They have no military capability that would allow them to breach Israel’s defenses and they no longer have the backing of powerful countries behind them. They have Iran behind them. The Palestinians are important in so far they play into Iran’s long-term plan to annihilate the state of Israel.
