“Are we there yet?”

According to a recent USA Today snapshot, 80% of parents surveyed say their children ask “Are we there yet?” or something similar when taking a road trip. 19% of them ask more than 10 times.

Well traveling with children can be a challenge at times. This is one area where I can speak with some authority. Our family, including our 8 children, travels full time doing seminars, so you can imagine this is an issue we’ve faced a time or two. But I can truthfully say that my children never fight or squabble in the van. They never whine for drinks, they never argue over toys or complain about a brother or sister invading their space. In fact they don’t even ask for frequent bathroom stops…as long as they’re all asleep.

That’s why night travel can be one of the best time management techniques for families. Travel through the night means less traffic, less stress and more opportunities to talk to the Lord while driving which will redeem the time.
