Prominent or Significant

You whine and whine that you can’t get up on time.
But at one in the morning you’re still online.
You started to bed at ten, but heard an email come in
You said, “It’ll only take a minute,
and I can’t sleep anyway till I see what’s in it.”
You know it’s getting late, but you still take the bait
It’s a clickable fishhook that pulls you into Facebook.
Now you’re hook, line and sinker in a digital clinker.
You can’t escape the wreckage, because you already started to message.
Next thing you know it’s after midnight, so you finally text good night.
But when the sun comes up, you can’t wake up, get up, or stay up, so you give up and say,
“No time for devotions. I got to get in motion! God will have to wait. I got to get to work by eight!”
Here’s an insight. Use some foresight. Starting tonight,
Think ahead and get to bed.
Get offline before nine and you’ll redeem the time.
