In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells His disciples, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.” This important verse teaches us something—we must be led by the Spirit. In fact, sharing the Gospel without the Holy Spirit’s help would be pure folly. It is the Spirit that moves in people’s hearts in regards to salvation. We have the blessing of being the messenger; but in and of ourselves, we can’t save anyone. Only God can do that. It is so important that we ask the Holy Spirit to lead and to guide us. And in His power, we can be God’s witnesses and take the Gospel to the very ends of the earth. Let’s share as God has commissioned us and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us!
