Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

This week, we will be diving into some big, theological words in the Christian faith, and they’re important because they teach us more about our faith and what Jesus has done for us. Today’s is justification. What does it mean? Imagine yourself in a courtroom being tried for all the sins that you’ve committed. The Bible tells us clearly the punishment for our sin…”For the wages of sin is death…” However, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are justified. In that moment, the gavel comes crashing down…but the guilt and punishment are now accounted to Jesus. He took our sin on Himself and gave us His righteousness. So instead of being guilty, we are now clean. This is justification—“just as if I’ve not sinned”. But to receive it, we must place our full and complete trust in Jesus alone and what He has done for us. Let’s share this amazing news! For more, visit www.sharelife.today.
