Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Why is it so important to memorize Scripture? Well honestly, there are too many reasons to list in this short minute. But one of key reasons is because it changes us from the inside out. Isaiah 55 shares with us that God’s Word never returns void but “it will accomplish what [God desires] and achieve the purpose for which [He] sent it.” So this week, we will be walking through five days of scripture memory challenges with you to help you hide God’s Word in your heart. Today’s verse is Galatians 2:20: “I’ve been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” This verse reminds us not only of the sacrifice that Christ has made on the cross for us but also the calling He has for us as his children. We live for Christ. And we have the privilege of sharing the Good News of what Jesus did with others! To join us for this week’s scripture challenge, download the verses at www.sharelife.today.
