“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” You’re probably very familiar with this verse! However, we couldn’t leave a Scripture memory week without sharing John 3:16. This verse has reached so many hearts with the love of God and the sacrifice of His Son for us. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 shares that if we place our trust fully and completely in Jesus, He gives us the free gift of eternal life. Wow. Even almost thirty years into my walk with God, that still fills my heart with joy and wonder. That the Creator of the universe loved us so much to send His Son to die in our place…as a father, there are no words to describe the magnitude of that gift. Join us in memorizing John 3:16 today.
