Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty’s newest Apples to Apples report released. This is an assessment of the state of education in Wisconsin. A key finding is that students in the state’s school choice programs continue to outperform their public-school peers in English Language Arts and Math in both the Milwaukee school choice program and the statewide choice program, with the proficiency differences greater in Milwaukee. The study is available at will-law.org.
This report is significant because it levels the playing field for comparing how all manner of schools are performing and gives parents especially an opportunity to evaluate educational options based on proficiency rates in core subject areas. They can then exercise their educational freedom and make the best choice for their children’s formal schooling.
